The Big Day
People starting coming and setting up at around 8:00 a.m. Visitors were coming while the vendors were setting up their booths. Me and my mom were there to say Hello. Mom's the one with the hat. We were getting worried because it was raining and the sky looked gloomy, but right on cue, the sun came out and I was ready to meet all the other Yorksters that were coming to our "pawty".
They came in slow at first, then there were Yorkies everywhere! We all were so happy to see each other. I got lots of kisses from the girls, and we all behaved so well! All the parents were so proud of us. We were all so happy to have a day just for us. An "official" Yorkie Day!
I felt a little lonely, because I think I might have been the only one at the festival who didn't have another Yorkie brother or sister. I heard one of the moms say that we were like potato chips, you couldn't have just one. I didn't understand that, but all the other parents laughed.
They came from all over, but you could sure tell there were some dog lovers in the bunch. There were Yorkie shirts, purses, pins, hats, and license plates!
People came in all types of vehicles. Everyone made friends right away.
We all got to know each other, and share stories.

After a while, everyone got pretty comfortable.
I stayed in the pool most of the day! That's me above just "chillin" in the water. It was nice. They had bags of ice in the pool, and I got refreshed when I got too hot.
