Yorkiefestivities
It started out looking like it was going to pour.  We were all worried about rain, although I had alternate plans to rent more buildings in the fairgrounds, none of us wanted to deal with the rain.
We got lucky and the rain never came, even if the sky was cloudy and the fear of rain did keep some people away.  The vendors sold their wares, we worked the raffle tables, selling tickets as quickly as we could, and everyone pitched in to keep things moving.  Hubbies and friends manned the front gate after the planned ticket takers cancelled with no notice.  The two food vendors, who had already paid their vendor fees, didn't show up.  We did miss the food and drinks we had been expecting.  Several demonstrators never came, but we had plenty to fill the day.  We had a few things to deal with, but we worked it out and had some great demonstrations and presentations, got a proclamation from Hamilton's Vice-Mayor Jim Noonan, had lots of fun with The Ambassador and Gumdrop the clowns, had some really fun contests, and had Animal Communicator Morgen Espe there.  Morgen was amazing and so many who talked to her were just thrilled by their readings.  She did my dogs and I am still very impressed.  We were really very lucky to have had Lisa Mitchell there as our DJ.  She was so great and kept the whole show moving right along.  Big thanks to you, Lisa.  Everyone who came had a great time we got lots of great pictures.
Yorkie Day Proclamation
Thanks to the City of Hamilton and to Vice-Mayor Noonan
for having the good sense to proclaim Saturday, August 30, 2003
"YORKIE DAY" in the City of Hamilton.
One of their best decisions, in my opinion!
Special thanks to the Mayor's staff, who were
so helpful in arranging all of this.
My Special Yorkie Yappers
My friends from my Yorkie group have seen how much work
I do to get this festival going, and they were so sweet to present me with roses, a "Honorary Yorkie" plaque for my Muffin, who passed away a few months ago, and a "Yorkiefest" bracelet the night before as thanks.
I could never ask for a better group of friends.
Diane Wells, Janie Doyle and me

Awards
I presented a special award to Amber Drabik,
for the "Most Enthusiasm".  She was a wonderful online
cheerleader in the days leading up to the festival.
Here's Amber with the lovely Kyrie.
I also presented a special award to Judy Cason and
MSN Yorkifriends for the "Biggest Heart" for all they do
for people and Yorkies in need with the MSN Yorkifriends
"Jars of Love" program .  Amber accepted for Judy.
Thanks, Amber, Judy & all the MSN YorkiFriends!
