The Yorkie "Gone to the Dawgs" Ball
The Ball started prompty at 8:00.  I got downstairs to the Ball Room and found a beautiful display of food, tables set so lovely, and friends with their dogs all dressed to the nines.  There were tuxes and ball gowns, one dog in a Ruben from American Idol "205" shirt, two dogs dressed as ballerinas, two others came as "Lady and the Tramp", we had a whole slew of sparkling, patriotic wannabe's and yet another, Parker, P.I., came in a Sherlock Holmes outfit.  In addition to this, there was a whole array of hats, feather boas, and even gold lame'.
Jani Price and her husband Greg were set up again taking professional photographs of our babies in their finery.  The pictures turned out beautiful and can be seen on the "Professional Photos" page on this site.  We had a best dressed girl and best dressed boy contest, and, really, everyone should have won.  Everyone put so much time into their outfits.  Then we drew for the beautiful stained glass Yorkie prize, which Bonnie of Canada won.  Everybody took pictures and oooh-ed and ahhh-ed over each other babies and we all had a little food and a few drinks.  Then, we did some dancing.  The dance floor was full of dogs and people more than a few times throughout the evening.  We even broke out into the "Electric Slide" at one point.  Some of the dogs didn't like the noise, others didn't seem to care a bit.
We laughed till our stomach's hurt and then laughed some more.  It was so nice to see everyone and be able to talk with everyone and relax.  Finally, at midnight, the party ended and our DJ, Rob, had to leave.  We said our goodbyes, but just till the morning, when we would all meet again for the brunch.  What a lovely night we all had.
Elvis and Toby were exhausted.
