"My Weekend!"
Well, its over....and I have to admit, I am sad. Right from the begining, my 12 hour trip there was hours of relentless driving, anticipating the weekend, full of excitment, just couldn't wait to get there. Then, we were there! First thing I did was call Becky and tell her I was in OHIO!!!!! Found the Hamiltonian Hotel and got checked in. It was great to see all these little Yorksters running around. First event, Yorkie Pajama Pawty....got our jammies on, my big furry feet slippers and off we went to meet Bex and everyone else. The rooms were packed, yorkies and people sitting everywhere from furniture to floor. Lots of smiles and lots of little doggies!!!!! It was great to meet everyone!. Tired from the long drive we left early yawning. Excited for the fest the next morning. 7 am we got room service......mmmmmmm how nice, breakfast in bed and I didn't have to cook!!!! We got to the fest early and it was a site to see! Little Yorkies everywhere!!!!!!! Dog lovers of all sorts hanging together for a special day. Searching the venders' booths, buying everything in site!!!! from dog food to dog apparel, adult clothes to raffle tickets!!!!! love those raffles! It was a day of fun, meeting new friends, putting faces to screen names, meeting all the little doggies and wanting to take everyone of them home with me! Contest after contest, raffle drawings and demos......then.....the pet communicator, she was awesome!!!!!!! I learned quite a few things that I wouldn't of learned if I didn't go, so you could say it was very educational to me. I stayed till the end not wanting to miss a thing! It was fantastic! How I loved meeting Becky and everyone else. Meeting the yappers was the highlight of the weekend! oh, I can see this event getting bigger and bigger each year. Marking my calander for the Yorkiefest 3!!!!!! Next event was the Going to the Dogs Bawl. The furkids got all decked out in a gown and tux and off we went! Lights were low, music was great, munched on some good food and had a night of fun and laughter. It was so neat to see all the babies dressed for the occasion. A door prize drawing and best dressed contest was a highlight of the night. The furkids got their pictures taken and danced the night away. Tired and smiling we went to bed thinking of the great day we had. The next morning at 4 am we got to see everyone again when the fire alarm went off. It was not planned nor was there a fire but I still think it was pretty exciting. The Brunch was full of people when I arrived, full of people and good food! It was a great start to my 12 hour drive back home. I got to sit with Becky and say my Goodbyes over breakfast and coffee. Then it was time to leave, the saddest part of my weekend. Yorkiefest 2 was over.......I'll miss my new friends. As I pulled out of the driveway of the Hamiltonian, I looked back and said......I'll be back next year!!! I love you guys!!!!!!!!!

"Our Yorkiefest Story"
We had such a great time at Yorkiefest...Mom got us out of bed real early to travel from Indy in the CAR!!! That is such a fun treat...she told us to sleep on the way over cause we would be busy meeting friends when we got to Yorkiefest...we were so excited Tiggy just couldn't rest...but I did ...cause I love to sleep in the car. It was so much fun seeing yorkies our own size...we visited all the booths...tried on a couple cowgirl hats (just not our style). Met someone wonderful named Morgen who told momma what we really really would love to tell her and try but she just doesn't understand. Morgen....Tiggy still misses...momma asks her if she is mortified...and she just winks at me...she is such a tease. We purchased our dressy boa's from a nice Yokie person from Michigan...loved her Yorkie bracelets too...Then mom purchased a Yorkie needlework from Shirley...she has been working on that all week...it is larger than we are...she also got an address from some great cards...and the lady already mailed her the samples. Boy we were tired...we took our loot to the car then back to the fest....and Momma went in to look at the raffles and see some of the presentations...the K-9 kop dogs were funny to watch...they are so big...We had photos taken with our new fancy wear...and momma was so thrilled that we didn't jump off the table.
We stayed and visited a bit more...purchased a squeeky frog from the oxyfresh lady...said our goodbyes...then off we went. Oh Momma said she wanted to go to Ballard Designs and they let us go in...all the customers loved our dressy attire! We had another drink of water...got in the car and were out...until we reached Indy...What fun..we loved meeting other Yorkies and getting new stuff...thanks for all your hard work!

"Where do I Begin?"
I first heard about Yorkiefest II through a co-worker who saw the information on the internet.  Knowing that I had two Yorkies, she told me about it.  I made plans to attend Yorkiefest II in May, 2003.  Before I knew it, BOOM, August 29th was upon us and we loaded up the car and began our journey to Hamilton, Ohio.  It took me five hours to get there and I just cannot express enough what a wonderful, marvelous time my daughter and I had.  Emily and Abby loved seeing all the other Yorkies and Wannabee's.
Hat's off to you BECKY, for a wonderful time.  Without all your help and dedication to this wonderful project, there would not be a Yorkiefest.  I cannot wait until Yorkiefest III!!!!  We have met some very, very special friends like Sandy, Eddie and Mickey; Jane Billings and her family, etc.
Jeanine...WHAT A TRIP!!!!  She was the life of the party!!
Thanks for a wonderful time and we will definitely see you next year!!!
